Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how abusez (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use abusez.net (the “Site”).
What the Site does
The Site hosts Minecraft-related downloads (texture packs, modpacks, configs, and similar files). To download files, you may be asked to verify that you are subscribed to our YouTube channel using Google / YouTube sign-in.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Site, we may process:
- Google / YouTube account data (with your permission): when you choose “Verify with YouTube,” Google shares limited account access so we can check whether your account is subscribed to our channel. We request the
youtube.readonlyscope. - OAuth tokens: if verification succeeds, we may store a refresh token on our server so we can re-check your subscription on later visits without asking you to sign in every time.
- Cookies / browser identifiers: a small cookie may be saved in your browser so we can recognize a previous verification on this device.
- Technical logs: standard web server logs such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps (typical hosting logs).
- Files you download: we do not require an account on abusez itself; downloads are gated by subscription verification as described above.
How we use information
- To verify YouTube subscription status before allowing downloads
- To remember a successful verification on your browser and re-check subscription status later
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site
We do not sell your personal information.
What we do not do
- We do not post on your YouTube account
- We do not read your full subscription list for marketing
- We do not use your Google login for anything other than subscription checks related to downloads on this Site
Data storage and retention
Verification-related tokens and browser identifiers are stored only as needed to provide download access and re-checks. If a re-check shows you are no longer subscribed, or the token becomes invalid, we remove that stored record. You can also clear site cookies in your browser to remove the local identifier.
Third parties
Google / YouTube provide the sign-in and subscription check. Their handling of your data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
- You can decline Google sign-in (downloads that require verification will not unlock)
- You can revoke access anytime in your Google Account under Security → Third-party access
- You can clear cookies for abusez.net in your browser
